Accessibility statement

The standard this site is built to, how it is checked, and what is known not to work yet.

The standard

This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in English and in German. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites, so no consent banner stands between a reader and the page.

How it is checked

Every page is checked at four screen widths, from a phone to a wide desktop, for content that runs off the screen. Forty two key pages, the quote form included, are checked with axe, the automated accessibility engine, and with the keyboard: the first Tab press reaches the link that skips to the content.

The last full check, on 2 October 2026, found no axe violation and no page wider than its screen.

What is known not to work yet

The specification sheets offered for download and the PDF record of a request are not tagged PDFs. A screen reader reads their text, but not their structure of headings and tables. If you need either in another form, write to us and you receive it as plain text.

Automated checks cannot find every problem. If something on this site does not work for you, it is a fault, and we want to hear about it.
