LC duplex patch cords
LC duplex patch cords between panels, switches and servers, configured to the fiber, end faces, polarity and cable diameter.
A duplex link transmits on one fiber and receives on the other, so a cord between two transceivers is crossed, A to B. A to A cords serve the polarity methods that cross elsewhere in the link.
Angled end faces are single mode only. A cord with an APC end and a UPC end joins two different port types and needs the right end at each port.
In the UK, patching is part of what BS 6701:2016+A1:2017 covers: the installation, operation, administration and maintenance of telecommunications cabling, going beyond BS EN 50174. Its 2017 amendment added the choice of cables by reaction to fire, which matters once a cord leaves the rack.
Every mated connection costs loss. Transceiver data sheets state reach for a link with standard connector loss, and each extra coupling between panel and equipment shortens it, so one cord of the right length beats two joined to make up the distance.
